Google API Services User Data Policy & Limited Use Disclosure
Dextro Campus's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
We access Google user information solely to provide single sign-on authentication and basic profile display. We never share, sell, or use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or machine learning model training.
1Introduction & Ownership
Welcome to Dextro Campus (accessible at https://dextrocampus.com). Dextro Campus is an educational technology and school discovery platform developed, owned, and operated by BitBlue Technology (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, storage, and protection of information when you access or use our website, mobile interfaces, software applications, and related educational services (collectively, the “Platform” or “Services”).
By accessing or using Dextro Campus, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of our platform immediately.
2Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically through device interaction, and information received from third-party services like Google OAuth.
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account Profile Information: Name, email address, telephone number, user role (parent, student, or school administrator), and password credentials.
- School Inquiries & Applications: Information submitted when applying or inquiring to schools, including child age, grade level of interest, and communication preferences.
- Institutional Data: For school representatives, school name, verification documents, official address, accreditation details, and campus contact details.
- Communications: Any feedback, inquiries, or customer support messages sent to our team.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Log & Device Information: IP address, device type, operating system version, browser type, referral URLs, language settings, and device identifiers.
- Usage Data: Pages viewed, schools compared, time spent on pages, search queries, and interactions with portal features.
- Cookies & Local Storage: Session tokens and functional identifiers used strictly to keep you authenticated and remember preferences.
C. Information Collected via Google OAuth / Sign In with Google
When you choose to authenticate or sign up to Dextro Campus using your Google Account, we use the Google OAuth 2.0 protocol to receive verified identity information. The specific data retrieved is limited to the scopes you explicitly approve:
- Google Account Email Address: Used as your unique account username and for essential system notifications.
- Full Name: Used to personalize your dashboard, communications, and inquiry submissions.
- Profile Picture URL: Used as your avatar within the user dashboard.
- Unique Google Identifier (User ID): Used to verify and match your account securely without storing your Google account password.
3How We Use Your Information
Dextro Campus uses your data strictly for legitimate educational, operational, and customer support purposes:
1. Authentication & Profile Setup
To create and manage your secure account, verify your identity via Google OAuth or email, and maintain session integrity.
2. Facilitating School Inquiries
To route your requested admission inquiries, tour bookings, and school communication directly to chosen institutions.
3. System & Transactional Notifications
To send updates regarding your admission inquiries, password resets, account security alerts, and administrative messages.
4. Security & Fraud Prevention
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, illegal activity, unauthorized platform access, or breaches of our terms.
No Advertising or Tracking Exploitation: We do not use your personal information or Google user data to build advertising profiles, deliver personalized advertisements, or sell to ad networks.
4Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance & Limited Use
Dextro Campus requests and accesses Google user data via Google OAuth. In strict compliance with Google's developer policies:
“Dextro Campus's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.”
Limited Use Guarantee
We only use information received from Google APIs to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Dextro Campus user interface (such as authentication and profile presentation).
No Unapproved Transfers
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties unless that transfer is strictly necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a corporate merger or acquisition with your explicit consent.
No Advertising or Monitization
We will never use or transfer Google user data for serving advertisements, including personalized, re-targeted, or interest-based ads. We do not sell Google user data to data brokers or third parties.
Strict Prohibition on Human Access
We do not permit human personnel to read user data obtained via Google APIs unless:
- We have obtained your explicit, affirmative consent for specific support or troubleshooting requests;
- It is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse, spam, security vulnerabilities, or account compromise);
- It is required to comply with applicable laws and regulatory processes; or
- The user data has been fully aggregated and anonymized for internal system performance reporting.
Dextro Campus utilizes YouTube API Services to allow authorized educational institutions to connect their official YouTube channel, display video catalogs (such as virtual campus tours, academic seminars, and sports highlights), and upload official admission updates.
- By using our YouTube features and connecting your channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Please also review the Google Privacy Policy regarding how Google handles information when you use its services.
- Data Accessed & Stored: We access public and unlisted channel metadata, video titles, descriptions, view counts, and thumbnails via YouTube Data API v3 (
youtube.readonlyandyoutube.upload). We do not store or read private user watch history or search history. - Revocation of Access: You can revoke Dextro Campus's access to your YouTube channel and Google account at any time via the Google Security Settings (Third-party apps with account access) or through the Disconnect option in your Institute Dashboard.
5Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosures
We hold ourselves to strict standards regarding who can receive your data:
- • Educational Institutions:When you choose to inquire with or apply to a school listed on Dextro Campus, your inquiry details (name, contact details, student grade) are securely transmitted to that specific school administration.
- • Infrastructure & Cloud Service Providers:We work with trusted third-party cloud hosting providers (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Firebase) and transactional email providers who store or process data strictly on our behalf under legally binding data processing and confidentiality agreements.
- • Legal & Regulatory Obligations:We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, or in response to a verified and lawful government or law enforcement request.
- • Explicitly Prohibited:We do NOT sell, license, rent, or trade your personal information or Google user data to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing intermediaries.
6Data Security, Storage & Retention
The security of your data is paramount. We implement defense-in-depth organizational, physical, and technical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:
- All network communication is encrypted using modern TLS (Transport Layer Security) / HTTPS protocols.
- Databases and backups are stored in secure cloud facilities with encryption at rest (AES-256 standard).
- Access to user data is restricted on a strict least-privilege, need-to-know basis.
- Regular system vulnerability monitoring, automated threat detection, and code reviews.
Data Retention: We retain your personal data and Google OAuth profile information only for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the educational services requested. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted from our active databases in accordance with our deletion policy.
7User Data Rights, Revocation & Deletion
You have full control over your personal data and your Google account connection at all times.
You can revoke Dextro Campus's access to your Google Account at any time via your Google Account Security Dashboard:
- Go to your Google Account (myaccount.google.com)
- Navigate to the Security tab
- Scroll to “Your connections to third-party apps & services”
- Select Dextro Campus and click “Delete all connections”
You have the right to request the complete, permanent erasure of your personal and Google account information from our databases:

- Use the subject line: “Data Deletion Request - Dextro Campus”
- Include the email address associated with your account.
Upon receipt and verification of your request, all personal data, inquiry histories, and Google identifiers will be permanently removed within 30 days.
8Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Dextro Campus is an educational directory and admission communication platform intended for parents, legal guardians, students of age, and educational professionals.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. Any student details stored on the platform (such as prospective grade level) are supplied directly by the student's parent or legal guardian for school inquiry purposes. If we become aware that personal information of a child under 13 was provided without verifiable consent, we will promptly delete that information from our servers.
9Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use standard cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to provide core functionality:
- Essential Authentication Cookies: Maintain your login session securely across pages.
- Preference Cookies: Remember your selected filters, city selections, or UI preferences.
- Operational Analytics: Aggregate, non-identifying counters to understand platform traffic and improve user experience.
You can configure your browser to reject cookies; however, some core interactive features (such as remaining logged in) may not function properly without cookies enabled.
