IUST Journalism students attend Master Classes at International Film Festival in Srinagar

Awantipora, Sep 10: The students of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (DJMC), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), attended the Master Classes at the first International Film Festival of Jammu and Kashmir at the SKICC, Srinagar, on September 8 and 9. The students, as per a statement, were given hands-on training in Camera Tech, OTT Writing, Animation, Editing, Cinematography, Sound Design and Screenplay Writing. The students, who were accompanied by Dr Sayar Ahamd Mir, Assistant Professor, DJMC, expressed their satisfaction over the conduct of the festival and learning opportunities they received. To mention, the four-day International Film Festival was inaugurated on September 7 with 135 films including 60 foreign entries being screened in an attempt to revive J&K’s long- association with cinema. The festival was organised by J&K Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation.
